Final Web Design Reflection What was the process? The process was to make a web design that was easy to go through and easy to make. You had to watch a video tutorial and then do the same thing in dreamweaver. How long did it take? How did you use your time in class? It takes a long time because each video is 12 to 15 minuets and and some of the parts we did are very hard to find and then put in dreamweaver. I used my class in time well but not the best because when we were supposed to take a picture of ourselves I then got distracted and I spent like 15 minuets just taking a picture. What were some challenges you faced? Some of the challenges I faced were making the picture the right size because, you had to go to a certain place then try to find a good number to choose to make it the right size after all of that it took about 10 minuets for me to find where I was supposed to go and what number I as supposed to use to fit it into frame. Final Quarter 2 Reflection  What are your areas of strength in the content area that you learned?   The areas that I'm best in is the illustrator design, I am able to make ideas come to life on illustrator that I never knew you could do. I have put detail on everything I have made to make it better. What are your ares in need of improvement? The areas the I need improvement in are most likely the Logo design, because I am not the best at creating things that show my name in the design or show something I like stuff like that just doesn't come to my head quicker than an idea I have for Illustrator. What did you love most about this quarter? The thing I loved the most was sketching a drawing we had to do 20 times then creating once on Illustrator. This showed us that there are a lot of ways to draw them we just had to choose one. What would you change or do differently? I would change the logo design only because its something I'm not good at. ...

Logo Design  I made a whale tale and i put my initials in the design. The reason I choose this design is because I like fishing and I like whales so I wanted to add this into my design. With my initials I made black lettering and made the font larger so you can see it. I then moved it into the top of the whale tale to make it look like it was on the whale. For the color I choose a light blue because in most cartoons and shows they are light blue and for the lettering I choose black because that is the normal coloring for lettering. I had to draw in the color and I had missed on some of the sides so it looks like the whale is colored in badly that is just because the color tool went outside the line.

Favorite Color I have really good memories with red because my family traveled to Arkansas and visited the campus and looked around in the stadium. I had liked green before but red kinda took over when I started liking Arkansas. I usually see the color red on the campus and on restaurants and fast food. I would change ONW to red I think it would look cool. Red can be dark and bright but it is mostly bright and is a tint. My least favorite color is yellow because last year the math teacher did notes in bright yellow and I missed all the notes. Thats the only reason I don't like yellow. I would change Price Chopper to yellow because it would look cool. Yellow is a bright color and it is a tint.

Sketching and illustrated post We had to create 20 drawings of flowers or houses or trees or birds and then create the on illustrater i created flowers with circles ovals and the star tool and the caterpillar is made with ovals. The sunset I put behind the flower box to make it look like a sunrise.  It was hard to make the pedals the same size until I realized I could make them the same size by clicking on them. The red flower is just made out of multiple circles.

Assignment one we made shapes and covered them and then we placed them into different spots. We made rectangles and then we made squares and stars and circles. We used a tool where you clicked and dragged to create the shapes. We had to use the colors that where on the screen. For my second blog i made a house and the house was blue and a dark grey. I also made a garage and a driveway. The street was black with yellow lines that I made with rectangles. I made the sky and ground with two giant squares and a sun with a circle.

Social Media Awareness      I learned that it is important to watch what your putting on social media because jobs and colleges watch to see what your posting and what your doing. Jobs look at your social media then you apply for a job. The one reason to do this is to make sure your not making bad comments or making rude statements to others. Colleges have been letting students go because they do not tolerate that kind of bullying or if they are doing illegal things in the past.    Colleges are starting to take away scholarships or other money grants because of the posts they post or the inappropriate. Jobs are saying no to some people because of what they post about if they are a place doing something they shouldn't or at the job doing nothing. Colleges and jobs are cracking down on social media accounts.    

What is an elevator pitch? To show your skills and to talk about yourself. I am an e-Communication student at ONW I am good at sports and editing videos. My coaches, parents and family give me compliments about my skills. I m talented at broadcasting and looking at history about my family tree. I want to learn more about videos and about the SID program. My motivation is challenging myself until I can accomplish that task and then challenge myself to do better.

Elevator Pitch  What is an elevator pitch?

Flag Project   My group and I started drawing out our flag, we all had different ideas so we started to combine our ideas and it turned into a masterpiece. Our designs were an arrow and a pencil and a controller and a soccer ball. We used red, orange, blue, and black because those colors represent us. We went to the courtyard on August 23. We used sidewalk chalk on the concrete we got done and then soon it rained. All that work just went to waste. We did this for collaboration.
