Short Film Blog Post

Video Final Our title for our film was Chips and the tag line would be remember to restock the shelves or else.... We incorporated shots of the robber running in and having close ups and far away shots and even servalence  cameras as one of the shots where the robber is stealing the chips from the shelve and then the camera follows him out while running. Our process was first just coming up with an idea and then making those storyboards for the film and making sure we had everything planned out and put together nicely. Then team roles were put out and after that was the filming our team got things done precise and on time and then the editing was split for everyone so they had there one part in the short film if they didn't act in it. My role was to help film the shots and make them be exact to the storyboard and keep us on time. I learned that working as a team and making things come together quick and on time can be easier then not on time and late. Leadership is big and tha...

Semester Reflection Projects: The first project was a Saul Bass project that we had to research and then make a poster for the nelson Atkins museum and then a powerpoint project over the same thing. This project took about a whole quarter. Most of the challenges I faced were being able to create and make the same creations as he did. I learned to keep working and trying to make the detail better. Most of the feedback I got was making sure the detail in the project was better and more precise. I changed most of the graphics to make it better. The project took pretty long to do so its hard to stay focused on one thing for awhile. The second project was about typography project where you would find about 10 quotes and then narrow them down to 4 and then make a new style for them with new color. This project didn't take as long as the first one but it did take some time to finish and make sure the detail was good because type needs a lot of detail. Challenges I faced was being...

Typography

Typography Summary Throughout these videos I have learned many things that will help my skills in typography. I have learned that every single detail or spacing or font is very important and to know how to use these properly in branding or in a magazine etc. Take-Aways The biggest take-away from these videos are to choose type fonts that complement what you're talking about. That so many other factories come together to make each other better and that she teaches about all the parts of typography. Key Points Serifs  are semi-structural details or small decorative flourishes on the ends of some of the strokes that make up letters and symbols. An example would be the Times New Roman font.  Sans serif  does not have these details or flourishes. An example would be the Arial font. Then mix serifs and sans serifs to bring out contrast to make it pop off the page or whatever its on to catch the eye of people passing bye. Always make sure to stay away from confl...
